Burnout, Boundaries & Being Human 🌿

+ a new clean energy role we think you'll love

Hey friend,

Raise your hand if you’ve ever said ā€œLet’s catch up soon!ā€ and then absolutely didn’t have the energy to follow through šŸ™‹ā€ā™€ļøšŸ™‹ā€ā™‚ļø

Same.

The hustle is real, between work, personal projects, trying to ā€œstay relevantā€ online, and keeping up with people… it’s no wonder we’re exhausted.

But let’s pause for a second.
Because we’ve been thinking about how the way we work (and network) sometimes feels more like survival mode than connection.

šŸ’” Let’s zoom out for a second…

  • Over 77% of professionals have experienced burnout in their current job (Deloitte, 2022)

  • 1 in 3 Gen Z workers say they feel emotionally drained at the end of most workdays

  • And yet, we’re expected to always be ā€œon,ā€ ready to network, connect, grow, perform…

Exhausting, right?

So what if we gave ourselves permission to…

✨ Step back instead of show up all the time?
✨ Say no without guilt?
✨ Build slower, but with intention, and people who get us?

Networking doesn't have to mean LinkedIn marathons or endless coffee chats. It can mean texting a friend to say ā€œthinking of you.ā€
It can mean saying, ā€œI’m not available this week, let’s talk when I’m more present.ā€

That’s connection too. The real kind.

This week’s gentle reminder šŸ’Œ

You don’t need to prove your worth by staying busy.
You’re allowed to be tired.
And you’re still enough, even when you're resting.

šŸ’ What we’re reflecting on:

  • What does healthy connection look like for me right now?

  • Who makes me feel energized, and who drains me?

  • How can I be more honest about what I need?

You don’t owe anyone constant access to your energy. But the people who are really in your corner? They’ll understand. Promise.
